Navan handles business travel and expenses in one app. Ariel Cohen and Ilan Twig founded it in 2015 under the name TripActions. The company is based in Palo Alto and rebranded to Navan in 2023. It went public in October 2025.
Corporate travel used to mean two headaches. Booking the trip and then filing the expenses. Navan folds both into a single flow. An employee books a flight and hotel inside company policy. The trip charges to a Navan corporate card. The expense report writes itself.
Picture a sales rep flying to three cities in a week. She books it all in the app, taps the card for meals and cabs, and files nothing at the end. The system already has every receipt. Finance sees the spending in real time, not weeks later.
The AI angle runs through the product. Navan uses it to suggest bookings, flag out of policy spending, and answer traveler questions any time of day. The company frames itself as an AI powered travel and expense platform.
Navan is still young as a public company and is not yet profitable. Revenue runs a few hundred million dollars a year and grows fast. It competes with old travel management firms and with expense leaders like SAP Concur. Its bet is that one clean, modern app beats a stack of clunky legacy tools.
