Company overview
Domo puts business data on a screen where leaders can actually use it. Josh James founded the company in 2010 in American Fork, Utah. He had already built and sold Omniture, so he knew analytics well.
The promise is speed and simplicity. Pull data from every corner of a business into one place, then turn it into live dashboards that anyone can read. A sales chief checks numbers on a phone before a meeting. A store manager watches today sales tick up in real time.
Domo connects to hundreds of sources. Spreadsheets, databases, cloud apps, and more. It blends that data and refreshes it automatically. Non technical users build charts by dragging and dropping instead of writing code.
Imagine a fast food franchise owner with 20 locations. Each store feeds sales, labor, and inventory into Domo. The owner opens one view and instantly sees which store is lagging and why. No waiting for a Monday report.
The company has leaned into AI and data apps, letting customers build small tools on top of their data. It also shifted its pricing toward consumption, charging for usage rather than seats.
Revenue runs around $320 million a year. Growth has been slow, and the company works to reach steady profit. Domo competes with bigger analytics names by promising fast setup and a friendly, mobile first feel.
